Granite City Explosion at Amsted Rail
Injured Workers in Explosion at Granite City American Steel
At least 10 people have been injured in an explosion at Amsted Rail in Granite City, Illinois this morning. Several ambulances and Medevac helicopters were at the site of the incident to transport the victims to St. Louis hospitals.
While as of this morning the details are still sketchy, there was apparently some sort of explosion in the cleaning and finishing department of the facility. There has not been an official statement made yet, however, there seems to be no report of a fire. Some reports suggest that some gas ignited, causing an explosion that injured several. Some are reported to have suffered burns, while others are said to have inhalation burns.
